What is the latest situation in the market?

Meanwhile, Bitcoin’s price movements have calmed down somewhat after Friday’s high volatility. Most altcoins are in a similar situation with minor movements downwards. Avalanche was the biggest decliner today, but it is still hovering above $10. As Kriptokoin.com reported, about a week ago, on Sunday evening/Monday morning, the primary cryptocurrency began a massive rally that resulted in a rise of over $1,500. It hit a 6-week high of $28,600 (on Bitstamp) on Monday evening.

However, the asset was unable to sustain its rise and quickly lost almost all of its gains. This was followed by some sideways trading before another price rally that pushed it a few dollars above $28,000. This rejection was more severe and pushed BTC down just over a grand. However, the bulls quickly stopped the move and did not allow any further decline. Bitcoin bounced and surpassed $28,200 once again on Saturday. Since then, the asset has remained around $28,000 with little to no movement in either direction. As a result, BTC’s market cap is still at $545 billion, but its dominance over altcoins has increased by another 0.1% and is now just under 50% on CMC.
