Computer peripherals manufacturer Logitech was unwittingly involved in discussions about the explosion of the US OceanGate company’s Titan submarine while trying to dive into the Titanic wreck in the Atlantic Ocean.

US navy and many companies use it

The submarine was controlled by a Logitech F710 game controller, and this news caused the company’s share price to drop by 3.6 percent. Search crews have so far managed to find parts of the wrecked body of the submersible, and five of the passengers have been confirmed dead.

CBS television reported last fall that a Logitech F710 game console, estimated to cost $30, was used to power the Titan submarine. The use of such controllers to control complex machinery is not exclusive to the notorious OceanGate company, as it is even used by the US Navy. The same is true of Elon Musk’s The Boring Company, which specializes in building underground transportation tunnels.
