Tinder, one of the leading online dating apps, has been working on making the app more secure for a while. Renate Nyborg, the chairman of the board of directors of the platform, which increased the resources allocated to these studies, made statements on the subject.
Nyborg, who is Tinder’s first female board chairman to date, said she will focus on women’s safety from now on. Speaking to the BBC, the manager said, “Our work on security will never end.” Many people who carried out aggressive actions against women were exposed on Tinder.

Renate Nyborg, in her statements, said that they increased the number of female employees working in the company in order to prevent violence against women. The manager, who took office in September 2021, underlined that the number of female employees of the company has increased by 30% since then.
“I think there is a difference between knowing something is important and feeling it,” Nyborg said in a statement. Like every woman, I can count every experience that I don’t want to live but that has happened to me. “This ranges from how people address you, how they treat you at work, to what can happen to you when you start actively dating people.”
Although Tinder’s initiatives are found weak by some non-governmental organizations, some organizations support these efforts. As part of the partnership with No More, which fights domestic violence, Tinder employees will also receive training.
