Time announced the 100 most influential companies of 2022: Apple, Amazon, Google and TikTok on the list

Time magazine has published a list of the 100 most influential companies in the world. The purpose of the list is to highlight companies with extraordinary impact around the world, and all companies on the list are moving humanity forward, according to Time. Apple, Amazon, Google and TikTok are among the 100 most influential companies in the world according to Time magazine.

Not surprisingly, Apple is one of the companies highlighted. Apple is present in the category of giants, namely Titans, which dominate the industry. The magazine specifically praises Apple’s privacy efforts. Because with the iOS 14.5 update, Apple allowed iPhone users to fine-tune ad targeting and prevent apps from stealing their data.

Ranking also places Amazon in the Titans category. “With a valuation of $1.7 trillion and a workforce of 1.6 million, Amazon’s reach is simply enormous,” Time explains. The magazine features new Amazon CEO Andy Jassi, who is faced with the daunting task of replacing company founder Jeff Bezos.

The rise of TikTok

The magazine also noted that despite regulatory pressures and the group’s efforts to combat global warming, Google’s revenue (257 billion dollars in 2021) also drew attention to the explosion. “Alphabet helps users reduce their carbon footprint by providing sustainable directions to Google Maps, emissions data to Google Flights, and home energy usage data from Nest thermostats,” Time says.

Finally, we find TikTok in the list of entertainment companies. The Chinese social network, owned by ByteDance Group, poses “the biggest threat to the social media world”. On the other hand, it should be noted that other digital giants such as Netflix, Nvidia, IBM and Meta (Facebook) are also on Time’s list.
