EU is working on new laws
Authorities in different countries are now trying to change Apple’s mobile app store policy. The EU is preparing to enact a Digital Markets Act, which will stop the official App Store from being the only source of software in the Apple device ecosystem and prevent the company from charging special fees for each transaction.
US lawmakers, who see signs of monopoly in the actions of both Apple and Google, will take similar action. More than 30 states sued Google in July, accusing the company of abusing its dominant position in the mobile software market.
