TikTok is beginning testing a new feature that it thinks will help creators generate continued revenue. The new feature, called Live Subscription, will allow viewers to subscribe monthly to live-streaming creators for a fee.
Subscription fee not disclosed
A new video shared on the TikTok Live Creator page shows that the platform will begin testing a Twitch-like feature. With a viewer subscribing to the creator, the Live Subscription feature will offer the viewer benefits such as subscriber-only chat, exclusive emoticons, and badges that distinguish them from non-subscribers.
TikTok did not make any statement regarding the subscription fee. It is also unknown whether he will receive commissions from subscription fees.
