READING NOW TikTok has also implemented its new feature by keeping up with the “I don’t like” trend.

TikTok is starting to introduce a new feature where you can show you dislike comments. The “dislike” button will appear next to the “like” button on individual comments below videos, in the form of a thumbs-down icon that users can click.

The feature, which was first announced as a test in April, is now ready to be rolled out to users worldwide, according to TikTok. Users can also undo their negative votes by clicking the button again.

Unlike the number of likes a comment gets, the number of negative votes is not public. TikTok says it thinks downvoting is “a new way to get direct feedback from its community” and will allow the platform to better identify “irrelevant or inappropriate” comments. In addition to downvoting comments, users will still have the option to report comments for violating TikTok rules.
