TikTok has activated the long-awaited dislike feature for comments. The feature, which is in the testing phase, has been opened to TikTok users around the world.
TikTok Now is coming
TikTok announced on Friday that TikTok’s comment dislike button is now available to all users. The short-form video app began testing the dislike button in April, a way for users to indicate comments they believe to be irrelevant or inappropriate.
The number of dislikes is hidden
When you click the dislike button on a comment, the dislike status is not displayed publicly and the commenters are not notified that their comments are not liked. Commenters and other users cannot see how many times a comment has been disliked. You can withdraw it by tapping the Dislike button again.
Tiktok says that with this feature, their main priority is to create a better experience for users. TikTok stated that when they first started testing the button, they saw the dislike button as a way to flag comments that could be spammy or meaningless. The dislike button should not be seen as a way to report comments, users should be warned about harassment, hate speech, threats, etc. stated that they should use the standard process for reporting comments.
How to freeze Instagram account?
The dislike feature has been around for a long time on YouTube. Twitter is also testing the dislike button for replies to tweets.
