TikTok continues to print money
TikTok, which started a new trend in the social media industry but is also believed to affect social media ethics, continues to print money. According to research, TikTok became the first non-gaming application to exceed $10 billion in cumulative revenue.
TikTok reached a cumulative revenue of $2.7 billion in 2021. While this figure will be 6 billion dollars in 2022, it exceeded 10 billion dollars this year. There was a 61 percent increase on a yearly basis. YouTube can earn $3 billion annually and Tinder can earn $2 billion annually.
TikTok generates the most revenue from US users and iOS users in China. Saudi Arabia, Germany, England and Japan are among other profitable markets. Users buy TikTok coins and send them to content creators. TikTok also cuts half of that. In other words, users’ spending is actually around 20 billion dollars.
There were Candy Crush Saga, Honor of Kings, Monster Strike and Clash of Clans games in the mobile world that exceeded 10 billion dollars in cumulative revenue. TikTok was also included in the list. The social network is expected to exceed $15 billion in revenue next year.
