TikTok announces new music distribution platform SoundOn

One of the most popular social media applications of recent years, TikTok helps many music and artists to be recognized. To help more artists get their music heard, TikTok is launching its own music marketing and distribution platform, SoundOn.

TikTok SoundOn Bytedance’s popular application TikTok has developed a new platform for artists to promote their music. Thanks to the platform called SoundOn, you can promote your music to the whole world and get the copyrights. With SoundOn, artists will be able to upload their music directly to global streaming platforms such as TikTok, Resso, Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, Deezer and Tencent’s Joox. SoundOn, which has been in beta testing since last year, is now available in the UK, USA, Brazil and Indonesia.

SoundOn will pay 100 percent of royalties to music creators on Bytedance-owned platforms and TikTok. On other global streaming platforms, ByteDance will pay 100 percent in the first year, while this payment will drop to 90 percent in the second year.
