Technology giant Meta, which stands out with its Metaverse moves, has brought three-dimensional avatars to the popular social media platform Instagram in the past months. The company announced that its new generation avatars can be used on all Meta platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Messenger and WhatsApp at the Connect event held recently.
Now it turns out that these avatars are starting to come to WhatsApp. According to reports by WABetaInfo, the new feature, which appeared in the application for the first time last month, entered the popular messaging application with the latest beta update on Android.
Avatars can be used as stickers and profile photos
The feature, which is live for Android beta testers, allows users to create their own personalized three-dimensional avatars from the ‘Avatar’ section in the settings section of the application. After the avatar is customized, WhatsApp also creates special sticker packs consisting of avatars that can be used in chats.
The feature, which allows you to send stickers of your avatars to your friends, also allows users to make these avatars their profile picture. Let’s emphasize once again that the Avatar integration is included in the latest beta for Android, which is limited for now, so it’s only available in limited numbers.
