Core Scientific did not accept the $4.7 million administrative request submitted by Celsius.

Tensions between Core Scientific and Celsius began to escalate. Two bankrupt companies often come face to face in contracts and legal processes. According to the latest data in the case files, Celsius’s administrative request was not accepted by Core Scientific.

With this move, Core Scientific refused to pay Celsius’s request for $4.7 million. Tensions rose between the two firms in the context of their contractual obligations.

Core Scientific Rejects Celsius’ Request

Bitcoin mining company Core Scientific has requested that Celsius Network’s administrative request for $4.7 million be rejected because it provided insufficient evidence. According to the files falling to the bankruptcy court, the ropes between the two companies began to break.

In the Bitcoin mining company’s objection, “Celsius’ request for the so-called administrative claim to be accepted and paid immediately ignores Core’s demands as well.” it was said. Core Scientific said Celsius asked for no more than it would receive.

The bankrupt mining company first signed an employment contract with Celsius in 2020. However, due to the increase in electricity costs, Core reportedly reflects this electricity cost in Celsius. According to the company, this is included in the necessary court filings. Objecting to this issue, Core Scientific stated that it fulfilled its obligations and could not see the same from Celsius.

Lawyers for the bitcoin mining firm said Celsius has a payment obligation of approximately $11 million to Core Scientific.

Finally, Core Scientific ignited the tension by saying, “If anyone is unfairly enriched here, it’s Celsius.”
