iOS 17, which has been on the agenda with heating and slowdown problems, will give users a better experience with its new version. Having released the iOS 17.0.3 update, Apple closed the signatures of iOS 16.6.1, iOS 17 and iOS 17.0.1.
iOS 16.6.1 signatures closed with iOS 17.0.3
By turning off the signatures of old iOS versions, Apple will prevent users from reverting their devices to the old version. However, it is claimed that iOS 17.1 will be available to users next month.
Technology editor Steve Moser announced that he discovered a new feature with the iOS 17.1 beta 2 update. Tweeting on the subject, Moser said, “I noticed the line ‘PENCIL_LOW_BATTERY_ALERT_MESSAGE – Connect to USB-C to recharge soon’ among the developer version codes. “I think we will see Type-C input in the Apple Pencil 3rd generation model.” He included his statement.
As it is known, Apple Pencil is charged with 1st generation Lightning, and wireless charging feature is available in the 2nd generation. It is estimated that the company will include a Type-C charging port in the new model.
Some features coming with iOS 17.1 are as follows:
- AirDrop update
- AirDrop transfers can now be completed over cellular or Wi-Fi when you go out of range of the person you’re sharing with.
- There’s a new out-of-range toggle in the AirDrop section of settings that you can toggle to allow or disallow transfers over the cellular network.
- NameDrop with Apple Watch
- With watchOS 10.1 and iOS 17.1, an Apple Watch and an iPhone can now be used to exchange contact information via the NameDrop feature.
- Ringtones and Text Tones
- More than 20 new ringtones and text tones added to the launch version of iOS 17 disappeared in the first beta of iOS 17.1. However, it is here again with iOS 17.1 beta 2 version.
