Shiba Inu is emerging as a favorite token among the biggest of Ethereum whales. Whale movements have also helped the SHIB token post some green indices. The largest of these movements came from a single whale. Accordingly, an Ethereum whale added $3 million worth of Shiba Inu tokens to its basket.
Whale adds a large amount of SHIB to its portfolio
According to Whalestats, ETH whales have purchased SHIB in multiple transactions in the past 24 hours. These purchases included a total of 527.5 billion meme coins. The aforementioned accumulation cost the whales approximately $5.96 million. The largest of these processes came from a single whale. Ethereum whale “Gimli” added another 407.5 billion Shiba Inu tokens to its basket in a single transaction. In other words, it has acquired approximately $4.59 million worth of SHIB. As a result, the same whale added more than 533 billion SHIBs to its basket on July 28, 2022. According to the latest data, the whale means 5.6 million dollars. Also, the data reveals that Gimli currently holds approximately $4.3 million worth of Shiba Inu tokens. Accordingly, SHIB assets represent approximately 19.6% of Gimli’s total holdings. Whale sold $1.98 million worth of SHIB tokens yesterday.
Additionally, Whalestats reported that an ETH whale named “BlueWhale0159” has also purchased 267 billion SHIB tokens. This transaction was worth about $3 million. The same whale seized 147 billion Shiba Inu tokens. This number of Shiba Inu equates to approximately $1.55 million. However, according to the data, “BlueWhale0159” has abandoned all Shiba Inu assets. Currently, the wallet contains $22.8 million worth of USDC tokens. This reveals that the ETH whale is ready to accumulate.
Whales save, Shiba Inu price rises
The top 100 ETH whales currently hold $503 million worth of Shiba Inu tokens. This accounts for about 19.8% of their total holdings. However, the top 5000 ETH whales have over $646.9 million in SHIB tokens. Whalestats noted that Shiba Inu has topped the list of top 10 trading tokens by volume and top 10 most bought tokens among the 500 largest ETH Whales in the last 24 hours. However, the token also managed to enter the list of the most used smart contracts among the top 1000 ETH whales. Shiba Inu prices have gained more than 7% in the last 24 hours. SHIB is trading at an average unit price of $0.000011 at the time of writing. As Cryptokoin.com reported, SHIB’s 24-hour trading volume increased by 75% to reach $536.9 million.
