AMD is not only targeting the end user with Ryzen processors, but also new processors will be launched for professional users in its new product range. The company’s Ryzen 5000 Embedded series, which was developed for the desktop and industrial side, appeared a while ago. Now we’re looking at Ryzen 5000 Pro processors aimed at professional users.
AMD Ryzen 5000 Pro consists of three processors
AMD’s Ryzen 5000 Pro processors will be shaped on the Zen 3 architecture, as in the Embedded series, and will be compatible with the AM4 platform. Ryzen 5000 Pro processors, which are expected to be released soon, appeared on the relevant page of Lenovo’s ThinkStation P358 Tower system. For now, we only see three processors: Ryzen 9 PRO 5945, Ryzen 7 PRO 5845 and Ryzen 5 PRO 5645.
What does AMD Ryzen 5000 Embedded offer?
It should be noted that while processors based on Vermeer silicon with Zen 3 architecture do not have an integrated graphics unit, Pro processors are aimed at workstations and professional users. According to the information shared by Lenovo, the Ryzen 9 PRO 5945 model consists of 12 cores and 21 threads. The base frequency is 3.0 GHz, while the maximum frequency is 4.7 GHz. While DDR4-3200 RAMs are supported on the memory side, there is no information about the TDP values of the processors.
While AMD targets professional consumers with its Ryzen 5000 Pro and Embedded series, what users really expect is the Ryzen 7000 series processors shaped by the new generation Zen 4. The next generation processors are expected to be introduced this month. Sales are said to begin in September.
