The interaction between Apple’s own operating systems is enjoyed by all users. However, a copy-paste trick shared on TikTok is remarkable enough to leave thousands of Apple users speechless.
Thanks to the feature called Universal Clipboard by Apple, transferring content such as text, images, photos and videos from any Apple device to another Apple device is actually child’s play. The last video shared on TikTok shows this interaction trick between iPad and iPhone.
How to use the Apple Universal Clipboard feature?
The viral iPhone-iPad video, recently released by a South Korean TikTok phenomenon, managed to take the platform by storm with thousands of likes. The video shows the photo copied from the iPhone with one hand gesture and pasted to the iPad Pro with a simple hand gesture.
Although the video looks interesting, it is actually nothing more than a very old iOS trick not. This copy-paste trick with the Universal Clipboard feature, part of Apple’s Continuity and Handoff division, can be tested across all Apple devices.
Apple allows you to use Continuity and Handoff functions across all devices connected to a single Apple ID. With Continuity, a feature of the Universal Clipboard, you can easily switch from one device to another and simply drag your files from the previous device.
To use Universal Clipboard, your iPhone, iPad and Mac must have at least iOS 10, iPadOS 13 and macOS 10.12 respectively. If your system supports it, go to Settings > General > AirPlay & Handoff on iPhone or iPad and enable Handoff.
To use the copy-paste trick from one Apple device to another, you must make sure that all devices have Bluetooth enabled and are connected to each other. You must also sign in with the same Apple ID on all Apple devices.
