The popular meme coin project Shiba Inu (SHIB) has come to the fore again with the statements made about the coin. In particular, former US Congressional candidate David Gokhshtein continues to praise SHIB. Meanwhile, the use of SHIB as payment is also spreading. Here are the details…
David Gokhshtein makes new statements for the popular meme coin
Crypto influencer and US politician David Gokhshtein reiterated that he is the “unofficial leader” of the Shiba Inu (SHIB). Gokhshtein’s final claim came less than two weeks after he declared himself the unofficial Shiba Inu leader. Gokhshtein said in a tweet today:
I am still the unofficial leader of SHIB.
As expected, the tweet received a lot of interaction from members of the Shiba Inu community. The tweet has received close to 1,000 likes and more than 100 retweets so far. SHIB owners asked the unofficial leader of the Shiba Inu some questions about the leading dog-themed cryptocurrency. “So when is Lambo?” one user asked. posed his question to Gokhshtein.
Lambo (Wen Lambo) is a phrase used to ask someone in the crypto space when people will get rich by selling their crypto holdings. In this context, the user asked the influencer to give him a date when the price of SHIB would rise to the level that existing investors would get rich by selling the asset class. Responding to the question, Gokhstein said he had no idea.
Gokhshtein’s support for the Shiba Inu does not end
Meanwhile, the reason behind Gokhshtein’s claim as the unofficial leader of the Shiba Inu may be that he is constantly promoting the SHIB. The founder of Gokhshtein Media is a known Shiba Inu advocate who often uses his social media accounts to promote widespread adoption of the token. Last month, Gokhshtein said that he regretted not investing all his capital in Shiba Inu while investing in meme tokens.
As for meme tokens, I should have invested entirely in SHIB.
The reason for the comment is due to the massive rally Shiba Inu has recorded since the token went live in August 2020. The Shiba Inu is up 163,131 times from the All-Time Low (ATL) of $0.000000000056. Earlier this month, Gokhshtein stated that Shiba Inu is making more gains than Bitcoin, given the massive rally of the meme coin.
SHIB affected by FTX crash
After the collapse of the FTX exchange, the price of the Shiba Inu was also affected. The cryptocurrency exchange was hacked after FTX filed for bankruptcy. Attackers stole many crypto assets, including SHIB. It is noted that 593 billion SHIB tokens were stolen from the exchange. Hours after the attack, the perpetrators exchanged 400 billion SHIB for Ethereum, lowering the price of the cryptocurrency by 7%.
Meme coin stands out as a payment method
Meanwhile, Shiba Inu (SHIB) ranked 12th as the most popular payment method through CoinGate crypto payment gateway in a year. Lithuania-based CoinGate recently celebrated its 1st anniversary of partnership with the Shiba Inu community. The leading cryptocurrency payment processing service appreciated the Shiba Inu community for their dedication to the project. He confirmed via tweet that SHIB was ranked 12th as the most popular payment method in just one year.
CoinGate allows users to purchase hundreds of gift cards with Shiba Inu. It allows them to use them to book on Airbnb, play the latest games from Steam and PS5, or buy new clothes with Zalando or Nike. The platform allows users to purchase Amazon, Apple, eBay and Netflix gift cards using SHIB.
