In an image captured by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter’s HiRise camera on December 12 from 250 kilometers above the Martian surface, it was announced that it came across a “cute bear face” peering up from the planet’s crust.
You can easily guess that this image is just a natural rock formation, but its incredible resemblance to a bear face still stands out. A circular crack in the crust forms the headlines, while two small craters stand in a perfect position for the eyes.
According to a statement from the University of Arizona, the bear’s nose and chin consist of a V-shaped depression structure, and the outline of its face may be due to sediment collapsing into the underground impact crater. The team says the subsidence structure could be a volcanic or muddy vent.

- Did you know that while we wait to enter 2023, Mars is currently living 37 years?
- The object seen in the new photo from Mars revived the UFO rumors. But the truth is…
This is just the last of many events on Mars where something seems strangely familiar. Last year, the internet was interested in the image of a “door” on Mars, albeit only 30 centimeters long. Also seen many different tricks of rocks, light and perspective, such as spoons, lights, fruits, bones and a woman.
