While it was stated that TikTok employees in the UK were already warned about the issue, it was learned that some personnel in the USA were cut off after they came to work on Monday. An employee named David Ortiz also states that he was fired in his post on LinkedIn.

A TikTok spokesperson also confirmed that layoffs have occurred. However, the company has not yet made a statement about the reason for the layoffs. Those who were laid off state that they were shown the restructuring process as the reason for this.

TikTok isn’t the only company that had to go out of business due to the economic crisis in the industry. Netflix, Unity and Twitter have also laid off many people in this process.
