We all look forward to the Exynos 2200, especially because of its AMD Radeon-based GPU. However, we may have to wait a little longer for this. Famous leak source Ice Universe says that Samsung may have delayed the introduction of the Exynos 2200.
On December 21, 2021, Samsung shared with us a “trailer” showing the ingenuity of the chipset. However, there was no mention of a launch date. And we still don’t have a concrete Exynos 2200 launch date.
In previous news, it was claimed that the Galaxy S22 series will be introduced on February 8. Given this news, we can expect the Exynos 2200 to be introduced before then. It is unlikely that Samsung will introduce both its flagship smartphone and the new Exynos together. Therefore, we can expect the Exynos launch to be at the beginning of February, not in January as in previous expectations.
Another possibility is that SamsungG will sell all Galaxy S22s with Snapdragon all over the world in the first stage. But in our opinion, the chances of that happening are pretty low.
Based on what we’ve seen about the Exynos 2200 so far, we can say that it still lags behind the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, at least on the CPU side. Leaked Geekbench results show us that. This could also be one reason why the Exynos 2200 is lagging. The other possibility is that Samsung has decided to postpone it due to the chip shortage.
