Fujitsu has quietly launched the world’s lightest laptop. The new laptop, named WU-X/G2, is part of Fujitsu’s Lifebook notebook lineup, weighing just 634 grams.
WU-X/G2, which is a 634 gram laptop, makes a difference not only by being lighter than notebook computers, but also by Apple’s 682 gram iPad Pro 12.9 tablet. The laptop, which measures 307 x 197 x 15.5 mm, has a 13.3-inch screen, while Intel’s 12th generation Core processor fills the processor house of the laptop. The laptop, which includes 8 GB, 16 GB or 32 GB LPDDR4x memory options, also has storage options between 256 GB and 2 TB.
Despite being such a light laptop, the WU-X/G2 has a number of ports that would put laptops 2 and 3 times its weight to shame. The laptop also includes a card reader, 3 USB ports, full-size HDMI and even a Gigabit Ethernet port. It is stated that the battery life of the laptop, which is combined with the power button and the fingerprint sensor, lasts up to 11 hours.
The Fujitsu WU-X/G2 is currently only available in Japan. Its price is 371 thousand 222 yen, or about 2 thousand 400 dollars.
