Leading altcoin projects are joining forces to test vulnerabilities in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Web3 cybersecurity startup Immunefi announced on Medium that it will conduct a performance test called “Rekt Test”.
The test, which will also be attended by Solana Foundation and Polygon Labs, one of the biggest in the crypto world, will measure the performance of Web3 and DeFi ecosystems. Immunefi believes that thanks to Rekt Test, investors can more easily evaluate the security conditions before investing in any project.
The security trial called “Rekt Test” will cover seven different areas. Blockchain experts aim to test altcoin projects on factors such as crisis management, code security, access control, and external auditing.
Mentioning historical data in his Medium blog post, Immunefi made the following statements:
“The security conditions in the web3 industry are still immature. We all read the news of cyber attacks that happened to many platforms. Hackers stole nearly $4 billion worth of crypto from Web3 platforms last year.”
Immunefi founder Mitchell Amador underlined that the test that Solana and Polygon will participate in is therefore very important.
