The BioWare team, which developed Dragon Age: The Veilguard, seems to have started working on the next Mass Effect. This means that the studio will not develop a new additional pack or downloadable content for the last Dragon Age game.
According to the statements made by BioWare to Rolling Stone, the team will now work on the next Mass Effect, but no further details were given on the subject. For comparison, Dragon Age: Inquisition received a total of eight expansion packs for its multiplayer and single-player modes.
The team had previously worked on Mass Effect
According to previous reports, the team working on Mass Effect was sent to assist The Veilguard team in order to complete The Veilguard. It was also stated that employees from other studios were also assigned to support.
BioWare Creative Director John Epler did not reveal any information about Mass Effect in his new interview, but stated that they could try to make a multiplayer game again. Epler stated that he “liked the focus that single-player games provide” but added, “It’s possible to tell a strong story in a multiplayer game, too. Final Fantasy and the world is changing,” he said.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard was released on October 31. The game has received 74% positive reviews from players so far.
