Xiaomi, one of the largest phone manufacturers in China, has officially introduced its newest phone, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. Xiaomi 13 Ultra is unrivaled in camera
In partnership with Leica, the company positions a 1-inch variable aperture sensor on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. The Sony-signed IMX989 sensor will be at the heart of the rear quad camera. This sensor will be able to switch from f/1.9 to f/4.0 depending on the scene. Therefore, we can say that optics are much more sensitive to light and we can say that low-light performance will be quite strong. Xiaomi also packs three Sony IMX858 cameras on the back. These three cameras consist of ultra-wide, telephoto and periscope lenses. All three cameras have a resolution of 50 MP and all have Leica lenses. Let’s also mention that all sensors have OIS support, except for the camera that can shoot 5cm macro.
On the hardware side, Qualcomm’s most powerful chip, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, is at the center of the phone. Xiaomi is also boosting this hub with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Xiaomi states that it has installed a special liquid cooling system inside the phone and thus runs up to 6 percent cooler compared to the iPhone 14 Pro Max. According to the company, the cooler chip also positively affects game performance. On the screen side, we have a 6.73 inch WQHD+ AMOLED LTPO panel. This screen has an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz and a very high maximum brightness level of 2600 nits.
All these capabilities of the phone, which comes out of the box with Android 13 and MIUI 14, are met with a 5,000 mAh battery. The phone’s battery supports 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. The phone, which charges 100 percent in 34 minutes thanks to fast charging, can also last up to 60 minutes through a special mode when it drops to 1% charge. In the meantime, let’s say that the charger comes out of the box. In addition, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra supports Bluetooth 5.3 and is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.
