John Pinette left the company
John Pinette, Vice President of Global Communications, has been working in the company’s external communications department since 2019. The Meta executive, who announced his departure in a blog post Friday, is thought to have resigned amid problems in the PR department and a document leak scandal published by the Journal last fall.
According to information provided by the Journal, Pinette stated that she is living her last day at Meta and hopes that her teammates will continue to evolve as she continues to do one of the most important and difficult jobs at the company. The meta front also confirmed the separation. Confirming Pinette’s departure from Meta via an email sent to Gizmodo, the management announced that they are grateful to him for his impact on the company’s history and the time he spent, and wish him success in the new phase of his career.
Pinette came to the company in 2019 with more than two decades of experience in corporate communications in the tech industry, including previous positions as Google’s regional director of communications across Asia and head of communications at Microsoft. After a period of about 3 years, he resigned from his job as a result of the news of the information leak and the disagreements that are thought to have occurred in the management floor.
