We don’t know much other than that Apple’s long-awaited mixed reality title, which is starting to turn into a snake story, will be better than Meta’s Quest Pro. But now, some of its features are starting to emerge.

Allegedly, Apple is considering adding iris scanning to the header for payment transactions. This option can make it especially easy to purchase apps. Apple has not commented on the matter, but this is thought to have been the intention behind its 2017 acquisition of SensoMotorics, the designer of eye-tracking glasses. Industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo told Apple that Primax will produce the eye tracking modules and that these modules have iris recognition.

It looks like Apple’s device will also have a few advantages over Meta’s Quest Pro. Two of the previously claimed 14 cameras are said to follow your legs, giving you an advantage in full-body tracking compared to the 10-camera Meta device. It is stated that the aluminum, fabric and glass combination of the glasses-like design is also lighter than the 1.6-pound Quest Pro.

According to rumors, Apple’s mixed reality headset will be on the market in 2023. Its price is expected to be around $3,000. Considering the Quest Pro is $1,500, it’s imperative that Apple add some really impressive features before it can sell its product.
