Watch out for AMD vulnerabilities
AMD announced this week that it has a total of 31 vulnerabilities in its Zen architecture processors. Together with Apple, Google and Oracle security teams, AMD has prepared a report.
While 3 of the vulnerabilities concern Ryzen processors, 28 of them involve EPYC server processors. While 1 of them is high risk, there are 3 important deficits. There is a possibility of attacks on certain parts of the processor or data loss due to vulnerabilities.
AMD has prepared different versions of AGESA to close the gaps. The versions are sent to the relevant producing partners. Users are asked to check for updates by going to manufacturer sites if necessary. Here is the list of processors AMD has published:
