In the world climate crisis, therefore, the biggest effort of environmental scientists is to reverse it. Obviously, a lot of progress has been made on this path, but with a new device made in Israel, the work has really taken off.

As you know, all of today’s air conditioners emit greenhouse gases and consume a lot of electricity. A new brand called Kensho has produced a type of air conditioner that does not work with electricity and is not harmful to nature. Let’s take a look at the details of how it works.

Liquid nitrogen powered air conditioner

‘How can it cool without electricity?’ The answer to your question, of course, comes from chemistry. When liquid nitrogen is released as a gas, it has the ability to freeze many things instantly. However, if you can adjust it properly, you can turn it into a material that can cool the surroundings without freezing for a long time.

At least that’s what the Kensho brand did. Developed and patented in Israel, Kensho has created an air conditioner that works with liquid nitrogen and emits air at -10 degrees Celsius silently thanks to its exterior design.

The first commercial models of Kensho will be trialled at six restaurants in Tel Aviv this month, and Green Kinoko, the company behind the invention, says they will be ready to market the product by summer 2023. What are you thinking? Liquid nitrogen is not an easy fuel to obtain, so it can be a bit expensive. Please do not forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments.
