The competition in the smartphone world continues at full speed. While most of us have seen the race between Android and iOS, or between Apple and Samsung, there’s also a behind the scenes. Companies such as Qualcomm, MediaTek, Apple, Samsung and Huawei strive to produce the best processors with the latest technology. For a long time, Apple held the top with the A-series processors. But that has changed, iPhones are no longer the fastest phones…
MediaTek’s Dimensity 9200 surpasses Apple’s A16 Bionic processor
MediaTek, which has had great success with Dimensity series processors for a while, is preparing to release a new model. This processor, which is expected to be called Dimensity 9200, has already started to appear on some test platforms. The 9200, which is expected to be used in flagship phones, scored a record in the GF Benchmark, surpassing Apple’s A16 Bionic in GPU tests.
Leaks indicate that the Dimensity 9200 managed to get 328fps in a benchmark for the GPU. The processor gets 228 fps in another test called Manhattan 3.1. The A16 Bionic, which powers the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models, achieved 280 and 200 fps, respectively, in the same tests. However, it should be noted that these results, which consist of leaks, have not yet been confirmed.
In addition, another point to note is that synthetic tests do not always give the most accurate results. In order to make the most of the power of the processors, software and hardware must be optimized well. Apple is getting good results at this point, as it is not dependent on foreign sources in both. Android manufacturers unfortunately start at a disadvantage at this point.
We don’t know much about the Dimensity 9200 yet. Leaks indicate that it could have a maximum clock speed of up to 3.05GHz and a base frequency of 2.85GHz. On the other hand, the information that its efficiency-based cores run at 2.0GHz has been spreading on the internet for a while. Still, we have to wait for the launch for official information.
