While we wait for The Witcher season 3, there has been some good news for fans of the series and some bad news that could possibly be upsetting. The good news is that Netflix has confirmed The Witcher season 4. The bad news is that Henry Cavill won’t be returning as Geralt of Rivia.
According to Netflix’s announcement, Cavill will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth. This substitution is the only information we currently have about season 4.
“My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures, and unfortunately I will be leaving my locket and swords for season 4,” Henry Cavill said in a statement. The statement continued: “The fantastic Mr. Liam Hemsworth will replace me with the White Wolf’s mantle. Enjoy seeing what happens.”

When will The Witcher season 3 air?
The Witcher season 3 is expected to be released on Netflix in the summer of 2023. This season will be the last time we see Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia. It is not yet clear when the 4th season will be aired, with Liam Hemsworth taking over the torch.
