2021 has been a relatively quiet year for the gaming world. Although many important games meet with game lovers, it would not be wrong to say that the number of games that made a great impression is low despite everything. However, despite all this stagnation, there were also games that gained the appreciation of game lovers.
Every year, following the best of the year, Steam announced the winners of the Steam Awards 2021, which are selected from 5 games in 10 different categories with the votes of game lovers. Of course, the ‘Game of the Year’ award was the most striking in the list, which includes many games that we heard a lot in 2021.
The game of 2021 at the Steam Awards was Resident Evil Village:
Resident Evil Village, which made everyone curious with the in-game screenshots that came before it was released, was liked by all game lovers in general, although it received some criticism. Especially for those who like horror-thriller games, the last game of the legendary series was already the game of the year. It will have reflected this in their votes, and Resident Evil Village was chosen as the game of the year at the Steam Awards.
In addition, Cyberpunk 2077, which created great controversy and could not please almost any player until now, was also awarded an award at the Steam Awards. Although it is full of mistakes, the game, which managed to attract attention with the universe it presented, received the ‘Superior game with a rich story’ award.
