The new information shows that AMD can introduce the next generation 3D V-Cache processors based on the Zen 4 architecture at the CES 2023 fair under the name Ryzen 7000 X3D. It is expected that the new generation X3D processors will strengthen AMD’s hand in terms of gaming performance.
Considering that Ryzen processors have achieved serious gains especially in gaming performance with 3D V-Cache, we can say that Ryzen 7000 X3D processors will compete intensely with Intel’s Raptor Lake 13th generation Core family. Gaming performance of Ryzen 7000 processors with Zen 4 architecture currently available is generally positioned between Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake and Intel 12th Gen Alder Lake.
Ryzen 7000 X3D may surpass Intel 13th generation processors
Ryzen 7 5800X3D, which also attracts attention in game performance tests, can sometimes achieve similar or higher results with Ryzen 9 7950X. Therefore, we can expect the Ryzen 7000 X3D processors to be quite promising in terms of gaming performance. On the other hand, AMD has also reduced the production of Zen 4 processors. It is stated that the increased capacity will be used for the new X3D processors that will come to the AM5 platform.
In addition, it is currently unclear which processor the X3D model will come with. Therefore, we need to wait a little longer for more detailed information. However, the overclocking restrictions of the previous generation V-Cache processors, namely the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, and the low frequency speeds compared to the non-V-Cache versions can be relaxed in the new generation. Finally, let’s not forget that CES 2023 will be held between January 5-8.
