The use of heat pump in America is increasing gradually
Since they reduce the amount of energy used for heating to a significant extent, the heat pumps, which are much more environmentally friendly than their alternatives, have recently been used more widely. So much so that they sell more than alternatives in the USA. According to the latest report shared by “Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute”, the most of the house type heating vehicles purchased in the US in the last 11 months is heat pumps. So much so that heat pumps sell 37 percent more than even the second most popular choice.

Heat pump sales increased by 14 percent compared to the previous year

This change in user preferences led to a 14 percent increase in heat pump sales compared to the same period of the previous year. Moreover, as users become more familiar with this technology, sales are thought to climb further. On the other hand, the fact that the heat pumps have become able to work even in more cold weather expands the user audience. Even in areas where average air temperatures are extremely low, the wide range of these devices is now attributed to the development of heat pump technology.

The heat pumps, which have a very similar functioning with air conditioners, heat the inner air while cooling the outdoor air with special gas and compressor technology circulating inside. They use electricity again, but they significantly reduce energy consumption because they get at least one of their energy from the air.

Taking a heat pump is now more costly than alternatives, but they consume three to four times less energy during use and they easily compensate for this cost difference in a few years. It is also possible to be environmentally friendly.

Nevertheless, field research in the United States shows that many hosts are the costs of the biggest obstacle to switching to these devices. The cost of establishing a home heat pump in the US varies between 17 and 30 thousand dollars. Although some of this is covered by the state (up to 8 thousand dollars) within the scope of green energy incentives, many people now find this transition too costly.

For this reason, many states and municipal administrations in the USA are preparing various projects to raise financial incentives and to raise public awareness about saving the heat pumps in the long run. For example, the contractors who build the heating systems in newly built houses are offered various incentives to choose a heat pump. On the other hand, some states are taking the first steps to prohibit the use of gas quarries.
