Are you one of those people who take photos of their bills but forget to pay them on time? Google’s new feature can prevent you from missing the last day of bill payments. According to reviews by an Android expert, Google is preparing to pave the way for adding reminder dates to invoices photographed with artificial intelligence.

Google will remind you of invoices that are due

The new feature is not available to users for now. However, according to the researcher known by the username AssembleDebug, the codes for the feature have already started to appear in the Photos application. The working logic of the application has become more or less clear.

When a photo of an invoice or document is taken, if there is a date on it, artificial intelligence will be able to detect this date information. There will be three different options for these photos at the bottom of the screen. These will be “Lens”, “Copy text” and “Set reminders”. For those who choose to set reminders, Google Photos will ask for permission to access the Calendar application. When access permission is granted, it will be possible to choose the date on which the invoice will be reminded. When the due date comes, the image of the invoice will automatically be reminded as a pop-up.

According to AssembleDebug, the reminder feature will not be available in every photo. This feature can only be used for images with text or dates on them. Artificial intelligence will also come into play here and will be used to determine whether the images belong to invoices. Although this feature is not accessible to everyone for now, the fact that the codes have been added shows that there may be new developments in this regard in the near future.
