The fourth generation Toyota Supra with body code

A80 has a different place in the eyes of car lovers. The vehicle, which became famous especially after the Fast and the Furious movie, had a throne in the hearts with its 2JZ engine, which offers unlimited modification possibilities.

After this iconic model, Toyota fell silent for a long time, and after 21 years, it managed to excite everyone with the fifth generation Supra. However, the fact that the fifth generation Toyota Supra with body code A90 was only offered with automatic transmission brought with it a great disappointment. Now Toyota is changing that.

Toyota Supra finally got a manual transmission!

Toyota is finally introducing a manual transmission option in the A90 Supra. Starting from the last quarter of this year, the Supra will be offered a new 6-speed manual transmission specially designed for its 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine capable of producing 387 horsepower and 497 Nm of torque.

The Japanese manufacturer is also presenting a special version to celebrate the return of the manual transmission. The version called A91 MT has red details and 19-inch matt gray special wheels. The special edition will also house exclusive Cognac leather seats and an Alcantara shift knob with GR emblem inside. The red tower tensioner and the 12-speaker JBL sound system are among the other prominent details.

The new Toyota Supra brings some innovations along with the manual transmission. Revised suspension system for improved cornering and driving stability is one of them. In addition, the electric-assisted power steering system of the model, which has an active rear differential, has also been overhauled.

No explanation has been made yet about the price tag of the 2022 Toyota Supra, which is expected to take its place in dealers this year. So what do you think about the new Toyota Supra, which has a manual transmission? You can share your views with us in the comments section or on the SDN Forum.
