The countdown has begun for the Red Magic 8 Pro, the first player phone to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor introduced in the past weeks. As it is known, the device received 3C certification last week. Thus, the information that it will support 165W charging speeds has emerged. Finally, the key technical features of the smartphone have been revealed.
What will Red Magic 8 Pro offer users?
Red Magic 8 Pro has appeared in the TENAA database, so some of its technical features have been revealed. Accordingly, the smartphone will feature a 6.8-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2480 x 1116 pixels. It will also provide a full-screen experience and this means that it will appear in front of the user with the under-screen camera.
As is known, the smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Produced with 4 nm technology, the processor uses 1 x 3.19 GHz ARM Cortex-X3, 2 x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A715, 2 x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A710 and 3 x 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A510 cores. Qualcomm includes the Adreno 740 graphics interface that supports Ray Tracing technology in its chipset.
The model has a 16 Megapixel under-screen camera for selfies. The rear panel of the phone has a 50 Megapixel, 8 Megapixel and 2 Megapixel triple camera setup. Apart from that, it measures 163.98 x 76.35 x 8.9 mm and weighs approximately 228 grams.
The device will be available in multiple options offering up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It will also host LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage technologies.
Red Magic 8 Pro will be available with 5,000mAh and 6,000mAh battery options. As mentioned above, it will support 165W charging speeds. Out of the box, it will run Android 13 version. Finally, the smartphone is expected to be introduced at the end of this month or at the latest in January 2023.
