Continuing its efforts to expand its product range, Vivo will soon introduce the S17 series. While the smartphones are expected to be showcased next month, the technical specifications of the standard model of the series have recently emerged.

What will Vivo S17 offer users?

The technical specifications of the upcoming Vivo S17 model have emerged. Accordingly, the smartphone will feature an OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution 120 Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the processor that the device will be powered by is expected to be Snapdragon 778G or 782G.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor has 1 x 2.4 GHz Kyro 670 Prime, 3 x 2.2 GHz Kyro 670 Gold and 4 x 1.9 GHz Kyro 670 Silver cores. The Snapdragon 782G chip, on the other hand, is available to users with the Adreno 642L graphics unit in addition to 1x 2.7 GHz ARM Cortex-A78 (Kryo), 3x 2.4 GHz ARM Cortex-A78 (Kryo) and 4x 1.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A55 cores.

The rear camera setup of the device will include a 50 Megapixel Sony IMX766V primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and 12 Megapixel IMX663 telephoto sensors. It will also have 8 GB + 128 GB, 8 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB options.

Apart from this, the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chip is used in the Pro model of the series, which has high-end features. Produced with 4nm technology, the processor has 1 ARM Cortex-A78 (3.1GHz), 3 ARM Cortex-A78 (3.0GHz) and 4 ARM Cortex-A55 (2.0GHz) cores. The graphics interface of the processor is ARM Mali-G610 MC6. It is worth noting that the Dimensity 8200 model has the MediaTek APU 580, which is very successful in artificial intelligence applications.
