New news about the iPhone 13, which was announced at the Apple launch this month and will be released on October 1, continues to come. According to the latest information, various problems may occur after the iPhone 13 is repaired outside of Apple Care.
Although it is recommended that the problematic devices be repaired by Apple itself, some users may try different repair methods to cut costs. In particular, users who want to cheaply repair devices with expired warranty may lose some features of the device after iPhone 13.
iPhone 13 may cause problems with aftermarket displays
According to a test by the YouTube channel Phone Repair Guru, replacing the iPhone 13’s screen with a third-party screen causes Face ID to break. The same YouTube channel states that changing the microphone of the device did not cause any sensor damage, but Face ID could not be operated in any way.
When the device is restarted after the screen replacement, the screen in front of you to create Face ID cannot detect your face in any way and says ‘Face ID is not suitable. Try using Face ID again’.
The same YouTube channel states that there may be a way or two to circumvent this issue. According to Phone Repair Guru, it may be possible to re-run Face ID if some chips can be transferred to the aftermarket display. However, it is said that this process is not easy at all.
It is currently unclear whether Apple has taken any deliberate action in this regard. Do not forget to share your views on the subject with us in the comments section.
