Which smartphone manufacturer does Generation Z prefer?
The latest report of the Financial Times revealed that Apple is the preferred smartphone company of Generation Z, born between 1997 and 2012. The report also highlights that users in this group buy not only iPhones, but also Apple products such as tablets (iPad) and smart watches (Apple Watch).
To be specific, at least 34 percent of iPhone users in the US are in this age range. And Samsung, one of Apple’s biggest rivals, is around 10 percent. On the other hand, it was stated that the reason why iPhone models are preferred more in the Z generation is the thought that it is embarrassing to have an Android phone.
For every 100 iPhones Apple sells, it also sells 26 iPads and 17 Apple Watches. This means that about 2 out of 10 iPhone buyers also get an Apple Watch. This shows that the company’s rate of rise in the wearable technology space is accelerating. On the Samsung front, there are 6 smart watches for every 100 smartphones. Finally, it is pointed out that 35 percent of iPhone users also buy AirPods.
