On Sunday, June 18, sad news came from the North Atlantic. The submarine Titan, which was used to organize a trip to the shipwreck of the Titanic, was lost in the ocean. The incident was only clarified on Thursday, and it was announced that the submarine had an inward explosion caused by the loss of pressure.

After this event that shook the world, one of the names who traveled with the submarine that exploded before shared his thoughts. That name was Mike Reiss, one of the executive producers and writers of The Simpsons. Reiss explained how he felt after the accident in his article on CNN.

Reiss, one of the biggest names of The Simpsons: “I signed a waiver with death on the first page 3 times”

Saying that he made a trip to the Titanic with Titan in July 2022, Mike Reiss shared that a fear of disaster was always on his mind during that experience. In fact, he shared the source of this fear in his mind with the details about the waiver signed before the trip:

“Before I got on the sub, I signed a long waiver detailing all the ways this trip could have killed me: drowning, electrocution, crushing – death was mentioned three times on the first page. Before I left, I kissed my wife goodbye, thinking I would never see her again.”

They got lost with Titan on their own trip too!

“During my entire 10-hour voyage on Titan, I was more focused and calm than I had ever felt before. I even fell asleep while descending, despite my excitement and fear. It takes two and a half hours to land on the ocean floor two and a half miles below, and the submarine is quiet, dark, and surprisingly comfortable. At home. I woke up thinking that I was in the middle of nowhere, and then I realized that I was in a steel tube 13,000 feet under the sea.
I quickly realized that we were in the midst of a crisis: we were lost on the ocean floor. Our compass was spinning erratically. The instructions we received from the surface crew monitoring the ship’s movement did not match what we saw. The Titanic, the largest ship of its time, was only 500 meters away, but we couldn’t find it in the dark.
Instantly, the five of us on board—a pilot, three scientists, and I, a man with no special skills or training—were a team. We studied the maps, inserted the data into the laptop, looked out the porthole for clues to our location. It was calm, focused, and it worked – it took us three hours, but we found the Titanic.
I’m pretty sure that was the mood of the five people on board on Titan’s last voyage. There would be no panic, tears, or recriminations on board—only the focus would be on the crisis at hand. And if all this has failed, I believe there is peace. The bottom is a womb-like environment; Diving is a zen experience.”

Speaking of The Simpsons, let’s talk about the “prophecy” agenda on social media…

Of course, there is no world where this tragic and historical event is not on the internet. However, some users started to associate this event with The Simpsons prophecies again…

Although it is not known who first shared it on social media, the shares of The Simpsons “knowing” the disappearance of the submarine managed to spread in a short time. The only thing the Simpsons episode aired in 2006 and the Titan submarine had in common was that there was a ‘submarine’ in the middle.

In the episode in question, Mason and Homer are chasing a treasure with a submarine, but when Homer crashes, the oxygen in his vehicle begins to drop. The shared section was already ending here.

Some of the shared posts:

“Did the Simpsons guess the Titanic scenario in this 2006 episode?”

“The Simpsons really guessed.”

“The Simpsons re-guessed it!!”

“The Simpsons really predicted the submarine thing and their oxygen going out completely… (watch till the end) it’s really scary.”

These shares reached tens of millions of users on Twitter alone. Many more were shared on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. The Simpsons conspirators received interaction with their posts as usual.

Could this link be real?

No. Or doesn’t every submarine disaster movie predict the end of the Titanic expedition to the Titanic? If this is the case, we guess that the President of the USA can also walk by walking on the street. Masallah.

There are no reconciling factors between The Simpsons episode and this episode, except they use submarines. There is neither a Titanic, nor billionaires, nor a ‘trip’ purpose in the episode…
