We had to wait a few years, but it looks like the second version of Sensible Soccer is finally close to being released for PCs and consoles. Tower Studios and KPL have announced that Sociable Soccer will be available on PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox Series X/S and Steam in the second quarter of 2022. The developer isn’t ready to show off the in-game footage yet, but it promises better gameplay, sharper graphics, and better matchmaking than the Apple Arcade version.
If you purchased the Early Access version on Steam in 2017, you will not have to pay again.
As one might expect from the series, Sociable Soccer will be the practical antithesis of ‘realistic’ soccer games like FIFA 22. For example, you can send emojis to your opponent in this game that is intended to be fast, easy to grasp and weird. While it won’t appeal to hardcore players who need real teams and players, if you’re looking for a quick game of soccer, this might be the game you’re looking for.
