Opened in 1889 and located in Paris, the Eiffel Tower is undoubtedly one of the most famous structures in the world. Known as the symbol of France, this 330-meter iron tower is visited by millions of tourists every year.
The giant tower is now on the agenda for a very interesting reason. People who visited the structure recently came across a “cub” Eiffel Tower nearby.

The second tower, located near the main one, was placed on the Champ de Mars as an April Fool’s joke. The photos circulating on social media made the tower look like it was the same size. In fact, a photo of the city of Paris on its official Twitter account, in which both towers seem to be of similar size, was shared on April 1st, causing people to be surprised. Of course, the reason for this was the angle at which the photos were taken.
The so-called “Cub Eiffel Tower”; however, this tower, whose real name is Eiffela, is actually one-tenth of the original; ie 32 meters long. The structure, which is made of 3900 large pieces and 9000 small metal pieces, weighs 23 tons. Let’s add that the French artist Philippe Maindron is behind the Eiffela and it was placed in the area around 05:25 am on April 1st.
Maindron asked, “What if the Eiffel Tower had a baby?” He says he left with a question. On the other hand, he adds that his purpose in building this tower, whose dimensions can differ depending on the angle you look at, is to create a moment of lightness and tranquility in people in these difficult days.
According to The Parisian newspaper, this miniature Eiffel Tower will continue to be on display in the region until April 10.
