The 6+6 law, which was introduced to prevent opportunism in car sales, came into effect as of today. With this law, it is aimed to prevent people who buy and sell cars for commercial purposes from buying vehicles at dealers and putting them up for sale at much higher prices.
With the new regulation, it is thought that the price increase created by opportunists will be prevented in addition to the recently increased exchange rate prices. In recent years, automobile companies, which have been experiencing supply problems with the effect of the pandemic, have been bringing much fewer cars to our country with the decrease in production.
A small number of vehicles entering our country were bought by many companies and then re-advertised, well above the zero price. To give an example, we used to see a vehicle with a price tag of 600 thousand liras on the official site, in the 650-700 thousand lira band.
It is hoped that this situation will be resolved after the new law. On the other hand, it is stated that this law is not a solution. After the law, many dealers claim that they had to sell their vehicles at much lower prices and they were in a difficult situation. There are many gallerists who argue that this rule should be changed.
