The reverse corner from Apple: The inside of the iPhone 14 turned upside down!

Apple introduced its new smartphones, watches and headphones at its Future Time event last week. Among the iPhones we come across here, the Pro models attracted the most attention due to the new screen design. However, after the videos that appeared today, it was understood that the repair fee of the iPhone 14 and Plus would be much lower. Because Apple unexpectedly changed the interior design of the device completely.

Apple has been using glass on the back of the devices since the iPhone 8 series it launched in 2017. However, since this glass cover is adhered to the steel case on the back of the device with strong materials, it becomes impossible to repair when broken.

For this reason, in case of a possible repair, the parts inside the device and the screen are transferred to a new case integrated with the rear glass. However, people looking for a more affordable solution resort to laser and engraving, which is another method, even if their devices will be out of warranty.

Here, too, since the adhesive under the glass surface dries completely after the laser process, the glass is scraped from the metal surface and replaced with a glass equivalent to the sub-industry. However, this has changed in the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models.

Apple turned the parts inside the device inside out. Under normal conditions, when the screen of the device is removed, all the hardware, especially the battery, is revealed, while on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models, when the screen is removed, the metal case surface that we are used to seeing on the back of the device appears.

For this reason, people who want to repair the device can now easily access the battery and other parts by removing the back cover instead of the screen. Of course, there are two more details to consider here. First of all, the metal cables that provide the wireless charging feature can no longer be placed on the metal case, so they come integrated with the back cover.

Secondly, since there is no metal barrier behind the device, all protection is provided by the glass cover. However, since the back glass of the device is cracked, there is no need to buy a new case or laser and engraving processes with high labor costs. Instead, the back cover can be removed and a new one installed in a few minutes. Of course, it should be noted that this is not the case in Pro models.
