According to data from BitInfoCharts, the wallet address received Bitcoin for the first time on March 8. Over the next three months, he bought 118 thousand BTC worth $3.08 billion at different times.
Different theories about the mystery investor
Some users suggested that the wallet address is a crypto exchange that carries the funds. In another theory, he commented that the main suspect in the wallet could be BlackRock.
The data shows that the world’s largest existing Bitcoin wallets are owned by Binance and Bitfinex. The cold wallets of exchanges are in the first two places. While the unknown wallet is in the third place, another cold wallet of Binance is in the fourth place.
Many on social media speculate that this wallet may belong to the giant investment firm, as BlackRock filed for a spot ETF in June. These theories do not contain any certainty.
