The Witcher 3, CD Projekt RED’s most beloved game, has become one of the players’ favourites, with a breathtaking open world, a massive story, and side missions that attract more attention than the main story. In fact, the game was loved so much that both the books that inspired the game were sold out and Netflix’s Witcher series was watched a lot.
After the eventful release of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt RED officials, who both tried to fix Cyberpunk and try to prepare the next generation update for Witcher 3, postponed the update, which was planned to be released at the end of 2021, twice. In fact, in the 2nd postponement announcement, it was stated that the update was “delayed indefinitely”.
Witcher 3’s next generation update will be released in 1 month
CDPR officials, who postponed the next generation update for Cyberpunk 2077 at the beginning of this year, announced that the next generation update of Witcher 3 will be released on December 14, 2022, exactly 1 month later.
Let’s also mention that the update will be free on all platforms where the game is currently sold, namely PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck. So what will happen in this update?
The name of the update will be “Complete Edition”
First of all, let’s mention that the game will be playable with RTX support on the PC platform after this update. On the other hand, it was announced that Halk Hogan, the producer of HD graphics mode, one of the favorite modes of the Witcher 3 community, is also involved in this project and that the graphics of the game will be overhauled. On the other hand, unfortunately, it is not known for now what features the game will offer other than graphics improvements for PS5 and Xbox Series S / X platforms.
It was also announced that the clothes and accessories in The Witcher series will be added to the game with this additional package. According to some claims, thanks to this additional package, we will be able to play some of the scenes we see in the series as a task.
