Continuing its activities under the roof of Huawei for many years, but following the blacklist decision from the USA, Shenzen Zhixin New Information Technology Co. Honor, which was sold to a consortium called Honor, is preparing to take the competition to the next level by stepping into the foldable phone market, which is dominated by Samsung, in the coming days.
Known to be working on a foldable phone called the Magic V for a while, the company has recently released a promotional video revealing the design of the model. It is even claimed that the device will break some grounds in the industry.
How will the design of the Honor Magic V model be?
Honor recently shared a video on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo that provides important information about the design of the Magic V model. The smartphone, which appears in the video with a black theme, is similar to Samsung’s popular Galaxy Z Fold series in terms of folding mechanics.
Apart from that, it should be noted that the device has a very thin, large, curved secondary screen with a selfie camera positioned in the middle of the top. On the other hand, the problem that the folding parts do not fit together, which we encounter in most of the current class phones, does not appear on this device.
According to the statement made by Honor’s chairman Zhao Ming, Magic V will be the first foldable phone powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor introduced in the past weeks. The processor in question has one 3 GHz Cortex X2 and three 2.5 GHz Cortex A710 cores as high performance. The Cortex A510, which is known as the efficiency core and has low power consumption, runs at 1.8 GHz.
The launch date of Honor Magic V has not been announced for now. However, previous leaks and reports suggest that it will be introduced on January 10.
