Advertisements are not only in our television channels, but also in the games we play. On top of that, Netflix even released a low-priced package that allows you to watch content by paying a fee and watching ads on top of it.

Considering all these new advertising areas, you may not see a future in television advertising. But this doubt will disappear with a sample project of a company. It is no longer broadcast, the televisions themselves will be advertised, the televisions will be given for free.

Free television, lots of advertising:

Paramount Global’s internet television service Pluto TV has announced its project, which has opened a new page in advertising. Ilya Pozin, co-founder of Pluto TV, will distribute free television to people with his new venture, Teevee Corporation.

This television, in fact, will not be a standard television. ‘Television’ will host a normal size television along with a sound bar and a second screen. This second screen will be as tall as a phone screen and will be the same width as the television.

The task of the second screen will actually be to get the cost of free television and much more. While users continue to watch the content they want from the main television screen, this second screen will only contain advertisements.

Of course, in addition to advertisements, the second screen will also have functional features. For example, it will show the score on sports broadcasts, present the weather, reflect the news headlines.

Television will not be a smart television. Instead of being a smart TV, it will come with ready-made ‘stick’ television devices such as Amazon and Xiaomi’s devices.

The name of the compact device, which consists of two screens and speakers, is not known for certain. Only a mysterious project called ‘Telly’ has been discovered (top image). Teevee, on the other hand, states that the device will be released this year.

So what do you think about this project? In exchange for free television, would you accept a screen that plays ads continuously without disrupting the content you watch (except for the ads on the platforms)?
