According to the Counterpoint Research report, Redmi, the sub-company of Xiaomi, which is the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world with a market share of 13 percent, has greatly increased its activity in the sector. Showcasing the Note 11 series at its China launch in the past weeks, the company is preparing to introduce the K50 series in the coming months. In fact, the processor of the standard model of the series has already been determined.

The processor of the Redmi K50 has been officially announced

The company is preparing to present the series consisting of Redmi K50, K50 Gaming Edition, K50 Pro and K50 Pro + models to users next year. In this direction, while various reports and claims about the technical features of the devices have been made, a share has recently come from the umbrella company Xiaomi that finalizes the processor of the standard model of the series.

Xiaomi has shared a new poster on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo confirming that the Redmi K50 will be introduced next year. In the same post, the processor that the device will power was also officially announced.

Redmi K50 will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000, one of the most powerful mobile processors. Produced with 4 nm architecture, the chipset includes 1 x 3.05 GHz Arm Cortex-X2 performance core, 3 x 2.85 GHz Arm Cortex-A710 and 4 x 1.8 GHz Arm Cortex-A510 efficiency cores, in addition to Arm Mali-A510. It houses the G710 graphics unit.

Allegedly, the same processor will be used in the game-oriented model of the series, the K50 Gaming Edition. On the other hand, another version powered by the Dimensity 7000 chipset is expected to go on sale specifically for the Chinese market. This device is expected to arrive in global markets under the name POCO F4 GT.

In addition, all models of the series will have a 108 Megapixel main camera, JBL supported stereo speakers and an AMOLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate.

In the post shared by Xiaomi, only the phrase 2022 was used for the introduction date of the Redmi K50. If we consider the previous leaks, the device can be presented to users in February 2022 with other models of the series.
