Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 exceeds costs
As you know, Samsung is still undecided about the processor to be used in the Galaxy S24 series. While current reports point to the joint use of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Exynos 2400, the arrows may be pointing towards a single processor model.
While users will criticize this decision, Samsung doesn’t have much choice in this regard because Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is stated to be much more expensive than Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. So much so that the new processor will cost about $160 for each device. For those who don’t know, the current flagship Galaxy S23 was introduced with prices starting from $ 799. Therefore, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 can greatly reduce Samsung’s profit margin.
Of course, there’s also the possibility that Samsung will step back and launch the Galaxy S24 only with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. However, it should be noted that this decision will be directly proportional to the efficiency that Exynos 2400 will offer.
Galaxy S24 expected features
For those who don’t know, Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus will have more efficient battery performance with LTPO AMOLED displays. In addition, it is stated that both devices will now have flatter edges with a new middle frame design. The only confirmed information for now is that Samsung will not change the selfie cameras. In other words, both phones will come with a 12MP Dual Pixel sensor, similar to their predecessors. It is also said that the new generation phones will have a narrower bezel.
It also says that the Galaxy S24 Plus will have a battery capacity of 4,800mAh, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra will have a battery capacity of 5,000mAh. The details of the basic version are not yet clear.
